In this section you will find all the information you'll need to navigate our store easily and purchase your lighting with confidence. Capitol Lighting's 1800lighting.com offers FREE SHIPPING (Federal Express Ground or Common Freight Carrier) on all orders over $99.00 to the contiguous 48 United States, regardless of shipping weight. Please contact Customer Service for shipping quotes to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.

Expedited shipping options are available on Quick Ship items only.

Orders less than $99.00 will incur a standard shipping and handling charge of $15.00. Orders cannot be combined for the purposes of our free shipping offer.

We cannot deliver orders to P.O. Box Addresses.

These additional charges are the responsibility of the customer and may appear on billing statements up to 90 days beyond the date of final delivery.



Product lead times for non-stocked items are quoted according to the typical availability and shipping times of our manufacturers. Capitol Lighting and 1800lighting.com are not responsible for expedited shipping charges due to the delay in production or delivery of non-stocked items.



Is the item you purchased not quite what you expected or needed? Wrong finish or size? Capitol Lighting's 1800lighting.com will accept returns on unaltered and uninstalled merchandise purchased through 1800lighting.com up to 30 days beyond receipt. Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization from our customer service staff. To request a Return Authorization please click here.

We will make all necessary arrangements (in the form of a Federal Express Call Tag) and assume all responsibilities in the retrieval and return of your merchandise. Any merchandise returned without prior authorization is subject to forfeiture and may not be eligible for compensation. Any compensation that is processed for unauthorized returns will incur a 25% restocking fee.

Please DO NOT use excessive tape when attaching your FedEx Call Tag to merchandise to be returned.

Call Tags will remain active for 10 days after they are sent and they will not be reissued. Please be sure to make your product return available for retrieval at your earliest convenience.

Capitol Lighting's 1800lighting.com does not offer exchanges or store credit on internet purchases. In the event that you have purchased the wrong item by mistake, please notify us to return the item according the clauses set forth above and place a new order for the correct item. Refunds will be issued within 5-7 business days of product return.

All merchandise purchased through 1800lighting.com from brands that are not displayed on this website (that is, brands listed as "Available by Phone and in Showrooms") ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN.

Product sold as CLOSEOUT MERCHANDISE is subject to availability. Should an item become unavailable after placing an order, you will be notified immediately and all payment will be refunded promptly. All closeout merchandise is sold as FINAL SALE. Absolutely no returns will be accepted on closeout merchandise. If you receive a closeout item damaged, it must be reported within 7 days of receipt.




For orders that qualify for our Free Shipping Policy, actual round-trip shipping costs of all undamaged and non-defective merchandise will be deducted from your refund amount. For orders that do not qualify for Free Shipping, only the one-way return shipping costs will be deducted.

A 25-30% Restocking Fee will apply in the return of merchandise from the following brands: Crystorama, Fine Art Lamps, Forecast, Framburg, Geometrix by Schonbek, Holtkotter, Landmark Lighting, Nulco Lighting and Schonbek. This restocking fee will be incurred in addition to any round-trip shipping costs that may apply.

As all items from Arroyo Craftsman are made-to-order, all purchases on items manufactured by Arroyo Craftsman are final sales, unless the item is defective or damaged. Please note, as it is replaceable within one week, broken glass is not necessarily considered "damaged merchandise" for Arroyo Craftsman.



Merchandise not retrieved within two weeks of authorization will not be eligible for return beyond that period. Please be sure to make your return available for pickup within two weeks of authorization.

Expedited shipping charges, and shipping charges associated with delivery to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or Canada will not be refunded in the event of product return.

Returns will not be accepted on installed or altered (cut wires, etc.) merchandise.

Merchandise purchased through 1800lighting.com CANNOT be returned to any Capitol Lighting showroom without prior authorization. Showroom returns that are attempted on internet purchases without written authorization will be refused. Showroom returns of online purchases are not yet available in Florida

Clearance items are sold as is and are not subject to return, except in the event of damaged or defective merchandise.



If you have received damaged merchandise, please contact us immediately. Replacement parts and glass are usually available to ship within 72 hours of notice. Damages must be reported within 10 days of receipt. Damaged items that are returned beyond this time period may be subject to applicable restocking and reshipping fees.



Cancellation of any item through 1800lighting.com is available, without penalty, for items that have not shipped from the manufacturer or Capitol Lighting. Cancellation of any item that has shipped to the customer is subject to the applicable round trip shipping and restocking fees outlined in our return policies. Cancellation is not available for any custom produced item, once production has begun on this item.

All requests to cancel merchandise or orders are treated as REQUESTS. You will be notified in writing of any cancellation requests made by email or phone.

Capitol Lighting's 1800lighting.com DOES NOT bill customers at the time of purchase. Rather, 1800lighting.com will "authorize" the amount of your purchase with the issuing bank of your credit card. That is, upon placing your order, 1800lighting.com will verify that the amount of your purchase is available in your current credit line. This amount is held against your line of credit, though not actually collected (or "captured") for the period of not more than 30 days. Should the production or availability of the first item(s) on your purchase dictate that items not ship within this 30 day period, the authorized amount will be released from your line of credit.
