Cuban designer, sculptor and entrepreneur Hivo Van Teal began creating works of art at the age of 13. It was no surprise, then, when this creative designer wholeheartedly put his passion and love of art into creating his own lighting company, complete with artfully designed luminaires.

The innovative designs of Van Teal lighting were born out of the artist's Miami Beach studio. His love of acrylic and his ability to mold the material, use it and understand its — as well as color's — power is a testimony to the fresh talent and the masterpiece-like quality of this legendary designer. He began creating unique lamps and lighting products with the same attention to form, proportion and color as he gave his sculptures.
