difficult to find wall sconces that are not slanted toward vanities or bathroom applications. this particular one appears more applicable for our purpose.

Is this for a single or two sconces?
BEST ANSWER: When I purchased this item it was sold as a single sconce. I had to buy two to make a pair

Can someone please tell me the amount of space between the base of the backplate and the lowest twig? I want to mount where there is wainscoting and want to be sure it will clear it.
BEST ANSWER: Backplate center to bottom of sconce/lowest twig is 7 3/4”, or 5 3/4” from bottom of plate to bottom of sconce.

Can this be installed upside down, so that the longer end is on the bottom, and the shorter end on top?
