An adapter doesn't come with the lights I ordered to mount them on pillars so I am ordering this one and another to see which looks better.

Hi! I am looking to purchase the Adair pier light fixtures and will need to purchase this base. I can’t tell from the spec sheets: will the base of the lamp go inside of this mount adapter? I am hoping this piece will allow the fixture to fit more flush on our piers.
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The base is in 2 pieces: an internal bracket mount, and the external collar which slips over it. Be careful to ensure that your piers are wider than the diameter of the collar.

We're do the screws go to hold it down?
BEST ANSWER: This is in two pieces - an internal bracket and the collar which slips over it. The screens in the bracket are inside the circumference of the lamp fixture to keep rain/moisture out. When mounting, best to add some silicon seal to the bracket screw holes when mounting, and around the outer perimeter of the bracket to resist moisture incursion between the wood and bracket.

I need to know the diameter of the pole hole and the diameter of the base as well.
BEST ANSWER: The fitter size is 3 inches and the base is 7 inches wide.
