Overview
3/4 inch downrods can be used to extend downrod ceiling fan height. Downrods are available in 12 18 24 36 48 60 and 72 inch sizes along with a variety of finish options to match your fan finish. Downrods can be joined together using a downrod coupler (Xf-I) to make lengths greater than 72in and may also be shortened in the field.

This was a rod from the same manufacturer as my fan but I am not as happy that 1-800Lighting did not have a matte white to match the fan despite it being available from the manufacturer. So it must have been a supply problem. But gloss white should not really make a huge difference so I purchased that instead.

Needed downrod for high lanai ceiling height

can this down rod be used for outside?
BEST ANSWER: The ABS blades would work best for outside. The wood blades may worp. Modern Forms only makes Damp rated fans, Not Wet rated. I would recommend a Wet Rated Fan.

Can this downrod work with any company’s fan?
BEST ANSWER: Hi, Modern Forms has not tested the downrods on other brands of fans, however if the diameter is the same the threads might fit. I hope this information helps.
