Once the bulb need changing, you will run into difficulties. The glass globe has a small plastic fitting at the base with will become fused to the metal fitting on the fixture. This is caused by water intrussion. It you force the globe you will either break it or the metal fitting will break loose from the fixture, making it almost impossible to dissasseble for relamping. I have changed three bulbs out of the six fixtures that i purchased causing one of the globes to break and the other to become fused to the fixture causing me to have to remove the fixture from the garden and dissassemble it my shop.
Suggestion: Coat the threads of the globe and fixture with a waterproof lubricant before installing the fixture outdoors.
This is a great looking product, but sorry to say, it's not well engineered for the envoironment,
Pros: Area Of Illumination, Attractive Design, Attractive
Cons: Difficult O Change Bulb, Difficult To Change Bulb, Difficult To Chaange Bulb, Water Intrusion
