is there a down rod for high ceiingI need a 4 to 5 foot drop with the simple model ?
BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes, there are several down rod options available. The model number would start with DR5, and then the length you would like (48" for this example), followed by a dash and the finish (antique bronze example DR548-ABR). What are the blades made of?
BEST ANSWER: They are made of plastic or rubberized plastic as this is an indoor/outdoor fan. Mine is about 9 feet above the floor the material looks like wood.

Does this fan only operate with a remote?
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Either a handheld remote or a wall switch remote. I tried hardwiring it into a regular fan switch and fried the motor.

Can this be flush mounted?
