This lamp has a very odd cord for such a beautiful lamp. Does anyone else have this lamp? The cord is a thick black and white corded one. Thought it would be a cord that disappeared, as the lamp is more elegant. Any comments as to why it's that case?

I was disappointed that the cord did no go
down thru the lamp. I placed the lamp where I wanted it and
secured the cord with a small piece of tape down the back of the lamp. It is a gorgeous lamp. Hope this helps.
